The interior design is the work of my husband, Paolo, while my mother, my daughter and I are responsible for the furnishings.
We have chosen to reclaim most of the furniture from my past: the old sideboard, the 1970's sofa, the wardrobe, the black and white photos, the lights on the bedside tables and the walls, the bathroom mirror… Of course, they were chosen because I liked them, but they were also selected because each of them holds a story. Waiting to be told.

The bright, spacious living room is the heart of the property.
It was important for me to create an environment that expressed my passion for books, especially children’s books, and stories.
A light, comfortable reading area with a large bookcase for picture books, graphic novels and art books was essential. These are books that I have selected from among the many we have at home.
For many years book illustration has been part of my life and my work as an educator. Sharing stories is what I like best.

We chose a wooden table which is generously proportioned yet cosy, around which you can enjoy meeting up to share good food, talk about the day’s adventures or to simply just play cards or a game with the little ones.
The ceramic dinner service and wine glasses provide a touch of elegance to any social gathering. And Umbrian cuisine offers delicacies, both traditional and vegan, that, on request, a personal chef can help you discover.

I wanted to equip the kitchen area, which includes dishwasher, oven and fridge, with everything necessary to prepare a delicious breakfast (kettle, toaster, waffle and espresso maker) – it’s my favourite meal of the day.
On arrival you will find a few essentials - milk, coffee, fruit juice, butter, jam, sugar, oil and salt; just enough to make you feel at home straightaway.

We have taken special care over the sleeping arrangements of our guests, relying on professional expertise and high quality Cerguty products. The king-size bed is composed of two single bases with wooden slats, with hypoallergenic mattresses joined together by a double mattress cover. The wardrobe is spacious and well organized.

Well-heated with wall-mounted radiators, the bathroom is equipped with a shower, bidet, toilet and a spacious sink with mirror.
Wrap yourself in our bath linens which have been chosen for their softness and comfort. Hand soap, shower gel and shampoo are provided for our guests. Hidden in a corner is a washer-drier.

The mezzanine is the most unusual place in the apartment and where you will find the other double bed. It feels like being in a tree house.

In the mezzanine, under the eaves, you can find a hidden den with tatami mat, futon and a zafu cushion for meditation.
An ideal place for children or teenagers to play undisturbed, to read, to imagine or just to chill out.

Ideal for meditation, yoga, pilates or simply to trade stories under the stars with your fellow travellers, perhaps with a glass of wine and some delicious local treats to accompany the words…
